“Faithfully Thought Out” Now On View

Inspired by a cache of paintings and drawings acquired by the Memorial Art Gallery in 2016, “Faithfully Thought Out”: The Artistic Collaborations of M. Louise Stowell and Harvey Ellis illuminates Rochester artists M. Louise Stowell and Harvey Ellis and their friendship and collaboration during their years in Rochester. It recovers Stowell’s contributions to their playful artistic partnership and demonstrates their patient forethought and characteristic shared techniques.
